Conservation International chooses CoreWeb for it’s SWoT Project

Woburn, Mass., October 15, 2005 – CoreWeb, Inc. today announced it had been chosen by Conservation International to create a new online home for SWoT (State of the World’s Sea Turtles).

“We value the contributions of Conservation International to the world community and are excited to partner with them for this project” said John Whalen, President of CoreWeb. “SWoT team members have a deep commitment to sea turtle conservation and a clear understanding of how central the web is in achieving their goals of aggregating global-scale-data efficiently and effectively.”

The site will provide Sea turtle conservationists and scientists around the world who have had no central, organized point of reference a vehicle through which they can submit their data and compare it with conservation practices around the world.

The site will also serve as communications-oriented international publication on global sea turtle conservation to which scientists can easily contribute research findings. The sea turtle conservation community needs a primary, respected resource of this sort, in which its priorities can be directly communicated to policy makers, corporations, donors and members of the general public who could fuel worthy changes to help conserve turtles.

The site is expected to Launch in November 2005.
