Michael Sweet Joins CoreWeb as Chief Operating Officer
Woburn, Mass., March 2005 – CoreWeb, Inc. today announced that Michael Sweet, a seasoned player within the Fortune 500 field, has joined the company as the Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Mr. Sweet will utilize his experience in the proper execution of Fortune 500 business models to identify creative but effective solutions to management challenges.
"Michael is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, accurately scoping projects, and ensuring that projects were executed to a successful conclusion from both an internal and external perspective,” said John Whalen, president and CEO of CoreWeb.
Prior to joining CoreWeb, Mike worked for seven years at Global Insight, a leading economic forecasting and business consulting company. While at Global Insight, Mike gained experience in the areas of market research, business planning and corporate consulting. Mike was responsible for developing new business opportunities with Fortune 500 companies including Coca-Cola, Porsche Cars, Duracell, Avon, Georgia-Pacific, Armstrong, Gillette, Lowe’s Companies and others. Most client solutions centered on helping clients identify the key external market drivers of their business and building information resources designed to allow clients to systematically track and anticipate changes in their key business metrics.
Mr. Sweet is a native of Maine and holds a B.S. in Economics from University of Southern Maine. He recently earned an MBA from Babson College where he focused on Finance and Entrepreneurship while finishing in the Top 10 of his class.
